Your online auction (eBay, etc.) ads, personal page and business page, or whatever type page you have on the Internet is your company's or hobby's Storefront of information, whether it be on personal, on products or on services. Your presence on the Internet is no longer the expense it used to be.
Web graphics is a topic that covers many things . . . banners, icons, headings, photos, backgrounds, animations, buttons . . . these are all web graphics. Web graphics are different than graphics designed for print because of their dimensions. Graphics for the web are 72 dpi and dimensionally measured in pixels. The file sizes are relatively small so that they can be quickly moved across the net.
Quality graphics can make the difference between a "so-so" website and an outstanding website. My specialty is creating "custom, quality graphics". What I call my Basic work, most people call "Better than!"
An electronic artist, the Web graphic designer must convey appropriate information on Web pages. At the same time he or she must recognize the limitations of GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) and JPG file format (the predominant graphical formats used on the Web) and keep network bandwidth issues at heart.
